Recalled: Twist and sort toy from Guidecraft

Thu, Oct 20, 2011 — Guidecraft has announced a recall of about 760 twist and sort toys in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The small pegs on three of the four posts can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. No injuries have been reported with this recall.

This recall involves Twist ‘n Sort wooden toys. The toy has a square base, four posts and twelve primary-colored game pieces that can be arranged to fit over the posts. Product number “712” is printed on underside of base.

The toys were sold at specialty toy stores and gift shops nationwide, in catalogs and online from September 2009 through November 2010. The toys sold for about $20 and were made in China.

  • Immediately take the toy away from your child and contact Guidecraft to receive a replacement toy or another product of equal value.
